Horsetooth Rock (Fort Collins)
Moderately strenuous 6.1 mile round trip hike up the mountain. Stunning views when you reach the top! Dog friendly. Bikers welcome on the waterfall trail, not the hiking trail. ($10 parking fee)
Arthur’s Rock (Fort Collins)
1.7 mile trail offering panoramic views of Horsetooth Reservoir and the Front Range. Moderate difficulty. Dog friendly!
Blue Sky Trail (Fort Collins)
17 mile trail going from Fort Collins and connecting to Devil’s Backbone. Featuring scenic redrock scenery, meadows and sparse forests. Considered MODERATE in difficulty. Hikers and bike riders allowed. Dogs are NOT allowed (parking fee $9)
Greyrock Mountain (Fort Collins)
20 mins northwest of Fort Collins. A renowned 7-mile loop day hike that offers over 2,000 ft of elevation gain. A challenging hike with awesome views at the top. Get there early to get a parking spot! Dog friendly!
Hewlett Gulch Trail (Fort Collins)
Roughly 20 mins from Fort Collins. This 8.5 mile trail head is known for its cool water crossings, shade-draped trails and stunning views. Has a family-friendly lower loop. Dog friendly!

17 miles of multi use trails. Main hiking loop is 4.5 miles. Featuring a 100-million-year-old rock spine that shoots into the sky. Amazing views! Hiking, bike riding and horseback riding all welcome. Dog friendly!
